Responsible for maintaining and developing new functionalities for current product websites and developing new websites. Driving the technical direction of the company and providing consultation to management on technical matters. Up skilling staff on new technologies and training to increase overall knowledge capital of the business.
Achievements:
Developed full custom framework and all site functionality on www.songpond.com online video education website allowing the company to open up to a new subscription business model as an additional revenue stream.
Worked closely with marketing team turning their marketing ideas in viable technical solutions and based on website metrics have increased conversion rates across many of the companies products and services.
Maintained several high volume traffic/bandwidth e-commerce websites liaising with Rackspace in the United States in which a hybrid dedicated server/Cloud Content Delivery Network solution was reached. This provides a more efficient and cost effective method of delivering content to end users.
Impliemented a sandbox testing server allowing for the development of new functions and marketing ideas before moving to production servers reducing potential bugs from being released into the live websites.
Administrated the business's local network, Apple Xserve domain controller and critical business file server implemented data redundancy/security and organization of over 4-5 Terabytes of assets.
