New Zealand
Carey Hagan discovered Australia and New Zealand’s unique habitats and native ecology while an undergraduate student. Studying at The University of Queensland, Australia in Brisbane, Carey Hagan often spent her school breaks traveling around the beautiful country of New Zealand, meeting fellow vacationers and experiencing the country off the beaten path by staying at several youth hostels. Currently working in the country, Carey Hagan has plans to live in New Zealand full-time in the future. After finishing her Pharmaceutical studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Carey Hagan entered the health care industry. As a hospital pharmacist, Carey Hagen promotes the value of local pharmacists in the current health care system as a member of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Pharmaceutical Society of America. Carey Hagan furthers her interest and study in Pharmaceuticals with preparations to receive a post-graduate degree in Clinical Pharmacy. Today, Carey Hagan spends much of her time outside of work skiing, hiking, jogging, bird watching, bushwalking, and tramping, some of Australia and New Zealand’s favorite outdoor activities. Carey Hagan also collaborates with local residents, business owners, and government as a member of The Australian Conservation Foundation. Promoting the non-profit organization’s efforts to preserve natural habitats and maintain sustainable lifestyles, Carey Hagan commits to short-term and long-term changes that positively impact the environment. Carey Hagan also encourages others to become involved in The Australian Conservation Foundation’s causes in Australia and abroad.
