Richard Wilburn’s Summary

Currently I have a very broad area of experience. While I have enjoyed the flexibility of change in working for Massey University, I am looking foward to becoming more specialist.

The area in which I want to specialize is in plugin development with .NET because it is a challenging area architectually, however the potential reward is greater as a solution isn't being made from scratch .

I also would like to become Microsoft Certified by getting my Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect (MCSA).

More information on the Masters Thesis:

The resulting output of the research has led to 2 Visual Studio plugins. An exciting feature of the final product is that it allows for events to be totally decoupled from the User Interface. Products such as Microsoft Expression Blend are examples that suggest that User Interfaces are being made by graphic designers rather than programmers. Another intersting note is that with .NET 3.5 and the development of LINQ (Language Integrated Query), there is a trend towards more self aware applications. This has been along time coming with the advances in aspect oriented programming. As previously mentioned I stated that the UI was decoupled from the event logic behind, but I negelected to mention that instead of offering to handle events from a single source, I handle events based on a query expression saying where the source of the event was.
